Staying home —
safely, sustainably,
on your own terms.

Most older adults want to remain in their own home. Avelis helps make that a realistic, well-supported choice — not just a hope. We bring the structure, oversight, and coordination that make aging in place genuinely sustainable.

Independence is a goal
worth planning for.

Wanting to stay home is one thing. Having the right support in place to do it safely — and to give family members the peace of mind they need — is another. Without the right structure, small gaps in oversight can grow into real risks.

Avelis provides the thoughtful, ongoing support that bridges that gap: regular wellness oversight, safety guidance, coordinated resources, and consistent family communication — so that staying home is a choice that works for everyone.

We serve older adults across the United States — entirely by phone and video. Based in St. Petersburg, Florida, our virtual model means geography is never a barrier to getting the right support in place.

Support across every
dimension of independent living.

01
Virtual Home Safety Assessment
A thorough review of the home environment conducted via video call — FaceTime, Zoom, or Google Meet. The client or a trusted person guides us through the home on camera while we observe, document risks, and provide real-time guidance. Just as thorough as an in-person assessment, without geographic limits.
02
Wellness Check-Ins
Regular virtual visits — by video or phone — that provide consistent wellness monitoring — tracking health, mood, cognition, and daily functioning, and flagging changes to family and the care team.
03
Community Resource Navigation
Connecting clients to community programs, transportation services, social resources, and support networks available in their area — locally and nationwide.
04
Care Coordination & Provider Support
Managing the healthcare side of independent living — scheduling, tracking appointments, facilitating communication between providers, and keeping care organized around the client's goals.
05
Daily Living & Lifestyle Support
Assistance with the practical dimensions of daily life — coordinating support services, connecting clients with trusted local resources, and helping manage the tasks that make independent living sustainable.
06
Family Communication & Updates
Regular, clear updates for family members near and far — so everyone is informed and no one is left wondering how their loved one is really doing.

What families ask us about
aging in place.

At what point should a family consider aging-in-place support?
Earlier than most families realize. Proactive support is far more effective — and less stressful — than reactive support after a fall, a hospitalization, or a safety incident. If you're wondering whether your parent needs more oversight, that instinct is usually right.
Does Avelis provide hands-on personal care?
Avelis provides non-medical support, coordination, and concierge services. For clients who need hands-on personal care, we can help coordinate and oversee appropriate in-home support from qualified providers — as part of a broader aging-in-place plan.
My parent insists they're fine. How do I start this conversation?
This is one of the most common challenges families bring to us. We're happy to talk through how to approach it — and in some cases, an Avelis consultation can serve as a neutral, professional third party that removes some of the family tension from the conversation.
