Work that holds
people together.

We are not looking to fill shifts. We are looking for caregivers who understand that showing up fully — with patience, steadiness, and genuine attention — is not a supplement to this work. It is the work.

Character first.
Always.

The quality of care someone receives in their home is shaped almost entirely by the person providing it. Skills matter. Certification matters. But temperament — composure, patience, the willingness to be truly present — matters most.

We are selective because our families are trusting us with something irreplaceable.

  • Experience supporting individuals living with dementia or Alzheimer's disease
  • The ability to remain calm in difficult moments — your steadiness is contagious
  • Genuine communication skills and the maturity to navigate sensitive family dynamics
  • A real commitment to consistency — the same face, the same warmth, every time
  • HHA or CNA preferred; candidates with substantial experience will be considered
  • Reliable transportation within the greater St. Petersburg area

You are not
a roster entry.
You are known.

We are a small, deliberate team. Every person on it is matched thoughtfully, supported directly, and treated with the same standard we ask them to hold.

Placement With Purpose
You are placed with clients whose needs and personality align with how you work. Not scattered across unfamiliar situations — introduced and established with care.
Consistency Protected
Wherever possible, you return to the same client. This protects the people in your care — and protects your sense of purpose in the work.
You Are Not Left to Figure It Out
When a client's needs shift or a family dynamic changes, you are not alone in it. We remain reachable, communicative, and genuinely invested in how things are going.
Pay That Reflects the Work
Dementia care is specialized. If you have the skill — truly have it — you are compensated accordingly and placed where it makes a real difference.

Transparent pay.
No surprises.

Caregivers who are paid fairly and supported well deliver care that is extraordinary. We structure pay to reflect experience honestly — no negotiation required for what you've earned.

Every application
read personally.

This is not automated. A real person reads every submission — because the stakes of who joins this team are too high to leave to an algorithm.

Take your time with the questions below. We are not evaluating polish — we are trying to understand how you think about this work.

"We are not looking for the most polished application. We are looking for the most honest one."

Five Questions

No trick questions. No expected answers. An opportunity to show us how you think — and why you do this work.

01
Question One
Tell us about a moment in your caregiving work that stayed with you. What happened — and why does it still matter?
02
Question Two
Dementia shifts unpredictably — confusion, distress, repetition. How do you find your footing in those moments? What keeps you regulated?
03
Question Three
Consistency is our highest value. What does that word mean to you in caregiving — not philosophically, but in practice, day to day?
04
Question Four
Describe a time when something shifted — a client's condition, a family dynamic, the situation. How did you respond, and what did it teach you?
05
Question Five
Why Avelis — and why now? What are you looking for that you haven't found elsewhere?

We acknowledge every application and aim to respond within three business days.
